Side bar: it always amazes me how once Hip Hop hit the net it started educating the youth on it's history and accomplishments. Now an immigrant from Yugoslavia can have a deep discussion with someone from Brooklyn on what the Def Squad meant to Hip Hop in the 90's

An album like Endtroducing is never going to be mentioned on TV yet through the net people can learn to appreciate it
Yeah it's also spawned these "purist" faggots

Motherfuckers who never grew up around it just preach that
"nah he isn't keeping it real, he sold out"
"he isn't complex enough"

like yo.. simplicity itself is a skill if used correctly

They dismiss anything that's mainstream lol

It's annoying, and then you got other folks who call everything backpack rap when the clear definition of "backpack" isn't defined

Back in the day Black Moon's Enta Da Stage and 36 Chambers was considered backpack rap, but these are definite classics today and no one calls you a backpacker for bumping wu tang or black mooon
Then you got people who call MF Doom's music backpacker
Then you got people who call Talib Kweli backpack rapper

which leads me to the conclusion

Backpack Rap doesn't exist

fuck ya'll who keep tossing that term around

I wonder what Zvornik has to say about this issue.

3 Classics

Well you're gonna have elitist and purists in any genre of music. Miles Davis faced severe criticism in the 60's and 70's for embracing the fusion jazz movement which incorporated electric guitar solos. 50 years later jazz purists today are dying to hear something similar.

The problem lies within the balance of lack thereof in entertainment. I can see how a person would be frustrated when you get behind a B.O.B., a J Cole, or a Drake, and the LP is completely different from what you came to support them as an artist for in the 1st place.
Now, go get your dictionary and your Pictionary
Cause much affliction with my diction friction slips and carries
Words and herds like some cattle in the steeple
People, there's no equal, or no sequel
